The purpose of this presentation is to create an understanding of the specific stressors nurse executives experience. Practical solutions for preserving nurse executive mental health will be offered.

Lynn College of Nursing, Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL Adjunct Professor – Frances Payne Bolton College of Nursing, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH Consultant – Marian K. Shaugnessy Nursing Leadership Academy, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH President - Association for Leadership Science in Nursing (ALSN) Angela has been a nursing professional for over 45 years. She began her educational journey as an associate degree nurse, obtained a Bachelor’s in nursing at the University of West Florida, a Master’s degree in nursing from Vanderbilt University and a PhD in nursing from Florida Atlantic University. She holds a Certificate in Healthcare Administration and is Board Certified as a Nurse Executive. She has an advanced yellow belt in Lean Six Sigma change management methodologies. The majority of her career was in the acute care arena, serving in various nursing leadership roles. Most notably she was the Administrative Director of Quality Care and held 2 Chief Nursing Officer positions. She is currently President of The Association for Leadership Science in Nursing (ALSN). Her scholarship has led her to research, present and publish on the subject of Nursing Leadership. Dr. Prestia’s hope is to share her results, passion, and deep respect for all nurse leaders.
