Who Should Attend
This activity was developed to meet the needs of nurse leaders practicing in acute and ambulatory work settings, as well as nurse informaticists, educators/scholars, and ethicists. This webinar is also appropriate for advanced practice providers and/or providers-in-training from diverse healthcare professions including physicians, physician assistants, and program administrators.

Taura L. Barr, PhD, RN, FAHA, HWNC-BC
Taura is an internationally recognized Nurse Scientist, Coach and Herbalist with expertise in innovation, entrepreneurship, and neuroimmunology. She has been a nurse for 20 years, 14 of those years in academia and has launched 5 companies, most notably Valtari Bio a neuroimmunology company and Deep Roots Healing LLC, a functional herbalism practice. Her team has raised over $15 million in grants, contracts, venture, and strategic partnering financing for their research programs and in 2021, they secured a $500,000 clinical trial with a large pharmaceutical partner to develop a neuroimmunology assay for stroke triage. Dr. Barr is an Associate Professor at the Ohio State University College of Nursing, Founding Scientist of Valtari Bio and CEO of Deep Roots Healing Inc where she partners with innovative organizations and individuals to build cultures of innovation that prioritize wellbeing. Dr. Barr is the Director of the Innovation Fellowship at the Ohio State University College of Nursing, where she uses her scientific experience combined with her personal journey to inspire faculty to nurture their creative and innovative spirit while enhancing their wellbeing and living a holistic lifestyle in body, mind, and spirit.
