In healthcare governance, leaders often rely on assumptions, intuition, and established patterns to make decisions. Yet effective leadership requires reflection, curiosity, and the courage to ask challenging questions. Using a case-based approach, this session explores how reflective practice can uncover implicit bias, elevate diverse perspectives, and strengthen board decision-making. Participants will examine their role in shaping board culture and learn practical strategies to foster inclusive dialogue, disciplined inquiry, and more effective governance.

    Learner Objectives

    1. Examine your unique contributions to the respective Board in which you are a member, especially those related to inclusion.
    2. Build reflective habits to align leadership values and behaviors for greater Board impact.
