DESCRIPTION

The presenters will provide the framework for authentic leadership and differentiate how authentic nurse leadership practice influences individual and organizational outcomes.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

1. Contrast and compare different relational leadership styles in nursing.
2. Identify one outcome of research on transformational leadership and one outcome of research on authentic nurse leadership.
3. Identify links to improved patient outcomes/staff satisfaction.
4. Initiate the dialogue for authentic nurse leadership development.
