Recognize an Early Career Nursing Leadership Contributor!

Nurses contribute to leadership science through practice and through scholarship. ALSN is proud to have members who are contributing to leadership knowledge in both practice and academic settings, and we want to recognize and celebrate their efforts. The award will be announced at the 2024 ALSN Annual Conference (September).

Eligibility

  1. Is an active ALSN member.
  2. Possesses up to 10 years of experience in the current role in practice, academia, or research.
  3. Has made significant and innovative contributions to nursing leadership science through practice, research/EBP, education, and/or implementation science.

Nomination Procedures

  • Each nomination and supporting documentation must be submitted by June 15.
  • Nominations should be submitted electronically via ALSN website.
  • Nominations must be made by a current ALSN member.
  • An applicant can self-nominate by following the nomination process and attaching an additional statement of support from an ALSN member.

Each nomination must include the following:

  1. Name of person nominated and include email and phone contact information
  2. Title of person nominated and include organization name/location
  3. Name of person nominating the early careerist (include relationship, email, and phone contact information)
  4. Notation of active ALSN membership
  5. Documentation of up to 10 years of experience in current role (CV)
  6. Description of significant and innovative contributions to nursing leadership science in practice, research/EBP, education, and/or implementation science (500-word maximum)
  7. Additional considerations: examples could include organizational involvement, involvement in public policy development, etc. (350-word maximum)
  8. Statement of support from an ALSN member (for self-nominations).

The successful candidate will be notified by 15-July.
