ALSN Board of Directors – Call for Nominations

The Association for Leadership Science in Nursing (ALSN) is excited to invite nominations for the following roles on the Board of Directors:

• Director of Research - serves as ALSN Board liaison to the Research Committee. Serve as the ALSN Board liaison for individuals, task forces, or organizations seeking ALSN collaboration on nursing leadership research funding. Serve as Co-Chair of the AONLF/ALSN Nursing Leadership and Systems Science Council. Oversee the ALSN Research Fund in collaboration with the Treasurer and Finance Committee.
• Director of Programs & Professional Development - serves as the ALSN Board liaison to the Programs Committee and the Professional Development Committee. Provide leadership for the organizational conferences and professional development opportunities. Collaborate with the President, Director of Finance, and Director of Philanthropy to set the budget, including attendance goals, for conferences and professional development opportunities. Secure funding from sponsors to support the organizational conferences. Serve as a voting member of the Finance Committee.
• Secretary - serves as the recording officer for the ALSN Board, maintaining accurate minutes and organizational records. This role ensures that bylaws, policies, and other key documents are reviewed regularly and kept current, oversees updates to the ALSN website to maintain accurate member information, and serves as Board liaison to communication task forces as appointed by the President.
• Succession Planning Committee (3 vacancies) - engages members in leadership development and participation within ALSN. Committee members ensure fair and consistent election processes in accordance with organizational policies and support the identification and cultivation of future leaders.
